Let listeners follow the sermon in their language
A church can share its captions page with listeners and let them choose a configured language. ChurchFoundry uses streaming speech recognition and translation to update captions while the speaker continues, rather than waiting for a recording to finish.
Draft words can appear before final words are settled. The captions interface handles those updates and supports text-flow options, helping listeners follow new lines without treating every brief pause as a new paragraph.
Capture speech from the setup you use
ChurchFoundry supports microphone capture and an OBS live-translation audio filter. The OBS filter connects using a one-time device code from the church’s Live page, allowing a church to send the preacher’s microphone from its existing broadcast setup.
Speech-end tuning, structured sermon context and a translation glossary can help the service handle a particular speaker and church vocabulary. Names, Bible references and specialist terms deserve rehearsal before a public service.
Test both directions and the listener experience
Speech-recognition and translation latency depend on the audio, language pair, network and provider. ChurchFoundry does not promise a fixed sub-second delay. Clear microphone audio and an end-to-end test are more useful than a latency claim without a measurement.
Try the speaker’s normal pace, sentence pauses, names and a few scripture references. Watch the captions on a separate listener device. Live captions support access to the sermon; review any transcript before treating it as a final published record.
