Start with a connection card people can open
A connection card should be easy to find and easy to complete. ChurchFoundry provides a branded web form with a simple church URL and QR code. Start with standard contact questions, then edit the questions and fields to suit your church.
The ChurchFoundry WordPress plugin can embed the connection card on a page at your church’s own website. Visitors do not need an app account to submit the public form. Your staff still manages the resulting guest flow in ChurchFoundry.
Give every next step a clear owner
An identified connection-card submission enters the guest flow rather than becoming an isolated form response. Staff can track guest stages, record progress and create follow-up tasks. A workflow can respond to an identified form submission or a guest-stage change with tasks, tags or an email queue entry.
Use tasks to make the next action visible: thank the visitor, answer a question or help them find a group. Choose a staff owner and a reasonable due date. A workflow supports that process; it does not replace a personal conversation.
Keep invitations and member access separate
A visitor sharing contact information has not necessarily asked to become an app member. A request to join the church app has its own approval process. Authorized staff can create a person or link the applicant to an existing directory record after review.
Choose the questions you need and explain how you will follow up. Respect contact preferences when sending church communications. Review your process with a few fictional submissions before sharing the QR code publicly.
