Make the check-in and pickup steps clear
Children’s check-in records the child, room and person dropping them off, with room-relevant notes such as allergies. A pickup code is shown once for the parent’s label. At collection, staff records who collected the child and checks the code.
The system warns staff when a pickup code does not match. Technology supports the church’s process; it does not replace trained volunteers, pickup policies or supervision. Review those policies with the people serving in children’s ministry.
Set up the station for the church
Staff with check-in administration access can pair a tablet, name the station and configure its staff PIN and label size. They can later replace the key or turn a station off, giving the church control over a device’s ongoing access.
Check-in history helps authorized staff review dates, rooms, children and collection status. Keep device access and staff permissions appropriate to the room instead of handing every volunteer broad directory management.
Understand what attendance numbers measure
ChurchFoundry supports service headcounts and group attendance. Its attendance reporting can help staff examine participation over time, but a service headcount is not the same as an individual’s attendance history.
Practice the check-in and pickup flow with fictional people before using it on Sunday. Confirm label handling, room choices, station access and the way your staff records attendance.
